Veterinary Diagnostics for Pets in Myerstown, Robesonia, & the Surrounding Area

Berks PA Vet Ultrasound

Advances in medical treatments and technology allow pets to live longer than ever before. At Conrad Weiser Animal Hospital, we use the best technology available to ensure that your pet receives fast and accurate diagnoses whenever there is a problem.

Digital Radiography (X-Ray) for Pets

Our new, state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine offers:

  • Allows us to diagnose deep soft tissue and bone disease which cannot always be appreciated by physical exam alone.
  • High quality, detailed, digital x-rays are immediately viewed on a large screen computer, allowing the doctor to make quick health decisions.
  • Digital x-rays are easily emailed to a specialist for consultation on difficult cases.

Often considered one of the best technological advancements, digital x-rays allow us to take images of pets that can be seen immediately, with significant high accuracy and low risk.

Digital x-rays not only allow images to be seen immediately, but they also allow images to be shared easily with pet owners. We can also email the images to a specialist for consultation.

Digital x-rays are used to evaluate almost any organ in the body, including the heart, lungs, abdominal organs, and bones. The x-rays are painless, completely non-invasive, and safe due to relatively low doses or radiation.

Veterinary Ultrasound

Dog x-ray

Diagnostic ultrasound uses ultrasonic waves to produce an image. Unlike other imaging techniques, ultrasonography does not use radiation, but rather it uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of the inside of your pet’s body. Ultrasound is completely safe. It is a non-invasive, painless way to evaluate anatomy and movement (beating heart) of organs.

Oftentimes, we will digitalize the ultrasound image and send it to a specialist for consultation. If you have any questions about your pet’s diagnostic results, please contact us, and we will be more than happy to answer all of your questions.

Heat Stroke in Dogs

Heat Stroke in Dogs

Even in relatively mild climates like ours, the heat index can create dangerous circumstances for pets and people alike. The combination of rising temperatures, scorching UV rays, and suffocating humidity force many of us indoors where we can enjoy the hum of air conditioning all summer long.  Active dogs may not recognize the adverse effects […]

And while most of us are helpless against the overwhelming cute factor attached to kittens and puppies, there is truly nothing like […]
